Through our partnership with SunGard/Relius - one of the world's leading software and IT services companies - we deliver leading edge technology that helps advisors, TPAs and plan sponsors simplify their workload and enhance the value they provide. Today, SunGard systems process over 30 million retirement accounts, and the Relius ASP platform serves more than 1 million retirement plan participants. Which means that, as a NextStep partner or client, you get the very best the industry has to offer in terms of security, stability, compliance, functionality and content.

Third Party Administration

When it comes to third party administration, NextStep offers a flexible approach to suit each unique situation.

We understand that, in many cases, advisors and/or plan sponsors prefer to work with an independent TPA that's based locally. It's an approach that we fully support. In fact, NextStep is interested in partnering with local and regional TPAs across the U.S. in order to provide coordinated services for plan sponsor clients.

In addition, NextStep also has the ability to provide bundled TPA services, including loan and distribution processing, plan document preparation, and Form 5500 reporting.

Corporate Trust Services - Dedicated Exclusively to Retirement Plans

A high-quality retirement plan trustee is an important component of a successful retirement plan. We believe most retirement plans are best served by a corporate trustee that specializes exclusively in servicing retirement plans. For this reason, NextStep facilitates corporate trustee services to its clients through its sister company, Retirement Services Trust Company ("RSTC").

RSTC's services include, but are not limited to:

• Corporate Trustee;
• Services for the same day processing of trades, individually directed accounts, separately managed accounts and company stock;
• Trust Accounting, including calculation of realized/unrealized gains and losses;
• Allocation and investment of plan sponsor and employee contributions;
• Collection and crediting of plan income;
• Disbursements of expenses and third-party payments;
• Tax withholding, remitting, and reporting;
• Check, ACH, and wire distributions;
• Consolidated quarterly statements, including individually directed accounts and separately managed accounts;
• Certified Annual Trust Reports; and
• Daily unitization of company stock, separately managed accounts, and fund portfolios.
